Welcome to NIMS Stats Portal
The buttons below and links to the left will now take you to each section of the Stats Portal as described on NIMS home page.
The Data Views and Advanced Data Views sections of the Stats Portal contain interactive mapping based on Flash technology. Interactive map content requires a Flash plug-in to work. Flash is installed on most computers. However, if you have Flash version 7 or below, or do not have Flash on your PC the Flash plug-in is freely available from the Adobe web site. Council staff users who are on the LBN Domain will have Flash installed on their machines automatically. Staff on the NEWHAM domain may need to contact ICT support to download the plug-in.
Each of the 5 sections below provides module-based analysis of demographic data over time and at many geographic levels for Newham. Data for other London boroughs is held at local authority level. Data can be visualised interactively, downloaded in Excel/csv formats, mapped thematically and displayed as tables.
The NIMS team hope that the Stats Portal will evolve into becoming an ever more useful resource as it is used. To this end all comments and suggestions for new content are welcomed.
The following modules are available:
1. Explorer: Allows you to find out what reports and data are available on the system. You can search by keyword and retrieve details of all data and reports that are currently available. You can also download whole datasets easily.
2. Reports: Allows you to quickly produce a summary area profile report for an area of interest. Reports are built by your Administrator and summarise key characteristics of areas in text, tables and charts.
3. Advanced Reports: Offers you more flexibility than Reports to select one or more areas and the ability to customise the content of your profile report.
4. Data Views: Allows you to explore and investigate key pre-defined sets of data using an exciting combination of interactive maps and charts. You can also create custom tables for the same collections of indicators and download those of interest.
5. Advanced Data Views: Allows you to create custom tables comprising any indicators held in the system. You can then export the data or create custom maps and charts which you can use in your own presentations and reports.
